Svenja Dahl

Dissemination, Press and Social Media

Svenja works as a communication manager at nova-Institute. With her background in political science in the field of environmental issues and social psychology she is leading the dissemination and communication activities of several national and international research projects. For her projects with  special focus on CO2 utilisation she also performs social acceptance analyses for CO2 products and chemicals.

Svenja is also active in public relations at nova. Her tasks there include writing and editing press releases, coordinating the monthly nova Newsletter and maintaining nova’s Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. At nova’s conferences she is managing the scheduled networking and supports the conference participants.

Background and expertise

Svenja studied Social and Political Science at the University of Cologne. Within her bachelor’s degree she focused on environmental and agricultural policy in the EU. Beside her studies she worked in the broad cast TV channel WDR as student assistant. During her studies in Cologne, she volunteered at Amnesty International, where she organized a lecture series for her fellow students on “Human Rights and World Nutrition in Times of Climate Change”. In 2019 she started her on-the-job master’s degree in “Business Communication and Rhetoric” at the University of Koblenz-Landau and is expected to complete it in winter 2021.
